Last month we spent a week in Bright (N.E Victoria) and therefore were able to walk along and view the beautiful Ovens River. I was reminded of that this morning when I read Psalm 1 verse 3. So my prayer today is that I can truly be like that tree planted beside streams of water - yielding fruit in season. To be so, I will have to actively access that source of living water I read about in the Gospel of John chapter 4.

My name is Warren Hodge. I moved (with my wife Raelene and little dog Monty) to the North East Victorian town of Bright in July 2014. I was then inducted as Pastor at Bright Church of Christ, where I continued to serve until September 2019. Previous to this, I planted a church for the Baptists in Tarneit (Wyndham area) following over seven years as Pastor at Point Cook Community Baptist Church. I was ordained by the Baptist Union of Victoria (BUV) in 2009. I have a Master of Theology degree along with two other Bachelor degrees. I love engaging in conversation with people and being involved in various community initiatives. I also love teaching from the Bible, represented here in many of my postings. I am currently writing books on theological themes with a missional and progressive mindset. My books are self-published and currently available at lulu.com and other online retailers.
